Two sought in Clear Lake Valero robbery

Police are seeking two suspects in the Saturday, Feb. 28 Aggravated Robbery of the Valero convenience store located at El Camino Real and Ramada Drive in Clear Lake.

Deputies with Harris County Precinct 8 Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office were dispatched after receiving a report of the robbery at approximately 6 a.m. The Valero store is at 16600 El Camino Real in Clear Lake City.

Two males entered the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, deputies said.

Suspect No. 1 is a black male wearing a black hoodie with a white stripe on both shoulders, blue jeans, black Nike running shoes with white bottoms, white gloves, and a blue bandana covering his mouth and nose. He was armed with a black semi-auto long-barreled pistol.

Suspect No. 2 was wearing a black hoodie, tan pants, brown hiking style boots, light color gloves, and a green ski mask.

The suspects entered the store on foot, and one suspect jumped over the counter while the other suspect approached the victim from behind. A long barreled semi-automatic pistol was placed to the head of the clerk. Afterwards, the suspects fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s wallet.

“At this time, we have no new information related to this crime,” Chief Deputy Jason Finnen said. “We are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Sgt. Chris Yetter at 281-488-4040, or call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered.
