The League City Police Department is conducting a death investigation in the 2000 block of W FM 646.
On Aug. 26, at approximately 11:19 a.m., a landscape worker found what was believed to be a human body inside a drainage ditch running under the 2000 block of W FM 646. Patrol officers responded along with League City EMS. EMS confirmed that the remains were a human male and had been deceased for a long period of time. The male was wearing cold weather clothing. League City Police detectives and the Galveston County Medical Examiner are on scene. At this time, foul play is not suspected.
This is an ongoing investigation.
