Nassau Bay Police, along with the Lakeview Police Department have arrested Toni McGragh Terry for credit card abuse.
The initial report of credit card abuse came Jan. 25, when an employee at a Nassau Bay medical facility alerted the on duty security officer, Officer T.Beaton, that her identity had been stolen and a credit card account had been opened in her name.
Lakeview Police Officer T. Beaton and Nassau Bay Police investigated the report and charges were filed with the Harris County District Attorney’s office.
Both Lakeview and Nassau Bay Police caution that there could be other similar cases involving Terry, who has worked as a hospital and home health care nurse in Harris and Galveston County.

Sgt. Sharp’s tips to protect your identity:
- Shred private records and statements that contain financial information.
- Safeguard your Social Security number and other personal information.
- Never let your credit card out of your sight.
- Be more cautious when giving out personal information, especially if someone calls you asking for information.
- Check your credit report once a year.
- Thoroughly review your credit card statements.
